We multiplied the living space of this Summit Ave. Tudor with a custom patio complete with kitchen, living and dining areas. A diverse native perennial garden blends with the artisan stonework to create an extraordinary outdoor experience for entertaining, living, and basking in the seasons of Minnesota.

Mossy thyme grows amongst bluestone pavers lined with native grasses and flowering perennials, leading to a backyard oasis. Artisan stone forms the two-tiered patio, creating an open, connected space while providing multiple separate nooks for large gatherings, intimate brakfasts, and fireside chats. A custom-built pergola provides shade and festive lighting for the dining area. Flourishing foundation gardens encircle an open lawn for play and leisure.

Curves meet bold lines of contrasting geometric stonework in this unique backyard design. Lounging and dining spaces anchor opposite ends of the yard, connected by lush lawn and subtle stepping stones.

We brought the texture, color, and luxurious expanse of a Midwestern prairie to the urban landscape. The prairie provides a sensory haven not just for harried city-dwellers but for also for our pollinator friends. Successions of blooms and growth patterns provide evolving interest throughout the seasons.

Inspired by the effortless garden style of France's Côte d'Azur, the landscape of this Minnehaha Parkway Mediterranean creates an outdoor space for relaxed retreat or social lounging. Gardens boast the rich, visually stimulating textures of indigenous plants and gently guide the eye to rest on expansive views along Minnehaha creek. An extended patio with an abundance of sub-tropical themed containers bordered by reclaimed sandstone coursing and dry-stacked and capped stone walls create both a nurturing space for seclusion as well as an ideal space for outdoor entertaining.
